Abbas Sets Conditions For Extending Peace Talks

Israeli-Palestinian talks ended again Tuesday without any breakthrough on finding a formula to extend negotiations past April 29th. PA President Abbas laid out his 3 conditions for continuing talks with Israel:

1- Israel release the 4th batch of prisoners and none of them be deported

2- Israel freeze all settlement construction

3- The first 3 months of the extended peace talks deal with borders of a future Palestinian state

Abbas said, “The Americans asked us to extend the talks for another 9 months and we agreed on a condition that we draw the final borders of a Palestinian state.” He continued, “We want peace, but don’t humiliate us because things can ultimately get out of control.”
